Chop’d reaches out to workers with summer menu
The London salad chain launched its new range of summer picnics to encourage office workers to leave their desks and get a proper lunch break.
Called ‘Quicknics’, there are 6 varieties in all (plus a vegetarian option) and each features a British picnic favourite like scotch egg, pork pie and even Branston Pickle.
The brand said that it aims to get British workers to learn to re-appreciate the pleasures of dining al fresco.
Managing Director of Chop'd Eddie Holmes said, 'Chop'd is all about the best possible produce but we don't use ingredients just because they're trendy. Scotch eggs and pork pies are popular because they're delicious, and if you use good ingredients to make them, they're good, honest, wholesome food.’
The six Quicknics are Cheddar Ploughmans, Wiltshire cure Gammon Ploughmans, Pork Pie & Potato Salad, Scotch Egg & Potato Salad, Smoked Salmon & Rye and Smoked Mackerel & Rye, plus a veggie option of 'Egg Hog' & Potato Salad.
Quicknics are part of the new summer menu that the brand released. The new line up also includes a Crayfish Cocktail with Samphire, a Heritage Tomato and Parmesan Salad and a Thai Beef & Cashew Salad. All these in addition to the brand’s custom-made salads.
