Domino's trials two vegan recipes in 46 stores

The items are complemented with a new vegan barbeque dip.

Domino’s announced it is trialling two new vegan-friendly recipes in 46 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland starting this week.

The new plant-based Vegan Margherita will be made using Domino’s own vegan cheese alternative and tomato sauce, whilst the Vegan Vegi Supreme is composed of fresh vegetables, including mushrooms, sweetcorn, onions, green & red peppers and tomatoes.

The pizza chain’s food innovation crew incorporated feedback from a previous trial a year ago, where they had decided to improve the dough.

“Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we’ve nailed it. If they agree, and love it as much as we do, Domino’s will roll out nationwide. We’ve now (been) busy working on some toppings and sides,” Domino’s Aman Prasher said.

Customers will also be able to customise their pizzas with any vegan-friendly topping. The trial range will be available in a medium size and will be complemented by Domino’s vegan barbeque dip.
