Find Out About GBKs New Menu
Gourmet Burger Kitchen has unveiled a special new menu named after its creator and original GBK menu developer Peter Gordon.
“We’re delighted to introduce a very special new menu, created by New Zealand chef Peter Gordon,” GBK said on its website, referring to the London-based chef who was the brainchild behind the brand’s first menu.
“Peter created the original Gourmet Burger Kitchen menu back in 2001 when we opened our first restaurant on Northcote Road, Battersea and has continued to work with us ever since,” GBK explained.
“Fast forward 14 years, and Peter is still doing what he does best—experimenting with ingredients, textures and flavours at GBK,” GBK’s website adds.
“Peter’s Menu,” as the new selection will be known, will feature a Duck Confit Burger made of crisp confit duck layered with creamy duck liver pâté, and toped with cheddar cheese, crispy shallots, and a spicy ginger and apricot chilli jam, all served up on fresh brioche buns.
As side dishes, customers can choose from Sweet Potato Fries with Tamarind Dressing and Dukkah, and a Summer Homeslaw with Mint, Pomegranate Molasses, and Summac.
In addition, Peter’s Menu also includes a Banna Biscoff milkshake made of banana ice cream and Lotus Biscoff caramelised biscuits.
GBK was formed in 2001 in Battersea, South London, with the goal of serving handcrafted burgers made of 100% prime beef, fresh ingredients, and fresh burger sauces. At present, the chain boasts of 60 branches across the United Kingdom.
