I am Döner launches coronation exclusive menu

The new menu is available only this May.

To commemorate the King’s Coronation I am Döner is introducing a special fit for a king called the coronation chicken Berlin doner.

The doner has marinated grilled chicken shawarma, served with coronation mayonnaise, sultanas, dried mango, tomato, feta, red onion, grated carrot, fresh coriander, pickled red cabbage, crispy fried vegetables all wrapped up in freshly made flatbread.

The dish was inspired by "Poulet Reine Elizabeth" now widely known as Coronation Chicken which was created by Le Cordon Bleu London to be served at the Coronation Luncheon of the Queen in 1953.

“We always send a voucher to the royal family for their special occasions. After seeing in the press that the King said it is all ‘in the sauce’ for kebabs I couldn’t miss the opportunity to make a special kebabs for the occasion!” Paul Baron, owner of I am Döner said.

The Coronation chicken special will also be available as a rice box, salad box or street cart fries and will be available in all stores throughout May.
