KFC innovation kitchen unveils potential menu items
KFC has surveyed the potential new menu items on social media.
New dishes such as Sloppy Po’Boy hotdog style burger is being considered for the KFC UK & Ireland menu. The side dishes include Loaded Fries with bacon, Chicken Skins and avocado and even parsnip, celeriac and sweet potato fries.
Top Ten innovations from the KFC kitchen include: Shoreditch Shofaffle, Chicken Skins, Kentucky Protein Box, Loaded Fries, The 1939 Sandwich, The Kentucky Cheese Press, Southern Roots Fries, Brew Craft Burgers, and Punk Chicken.
KFC is testing the potential new menu items on social media, putting the power in the British public’s hands. Punk Chicken has had over 5,000 comments in just 24 hours.
KFC UK & Ireland’s innovation director Jack Hinchliffe said, “We’re always looking at emerging food trends to help us develop exciting new menu items. We encourage our chefs to be creative in the kitchen - this is where the real magic takes place and showstoppers are born.”
