LEON rolls out new spring menu with a vegan twist
The new items include vegan meatless meatballs and an improved version of its Sweet Potato Falafel.
Since the current meat consumption isn’t sustainable, the brand has moved to increase the amount of plant-based dishes on its menu with the launch of its Spring range for 2018.
The offerings include our Vegan Meatless Meatballs, made with aubergine, black olive and rosemary, served in LEON tomato sauce with vegan garlic aioli along with a sprinkling of toasted seeds and fresh herbs. It also increased the sweet potato content of its Sweet Potato Falafel by over 75%. Part of the newly launched range is the Plant Burger, complete with an edamame, ginger, lemongrass, chilli burger. We’It is served in a brioche sesame bun with tamarind ketchup, fresh spinach, and spicy pickled carrots.
It also got a brand new counter full of eight sweet treats to round the vegan dishes off.
"We’ve been working with Ruby’s of London, a vegan baker based in Greenwich, to launch a PB&J Brownie, 2 mini cupcakes, and 2 baked donuts. We’re also bringing some proper Mediterranean goodness to the table with raspberry and blueberry pastel de natas. And a banana bread, because, like we said at the beginning, sometimes we all just need some comfort," said LEON in a statement.
