Pizza Hut Restaurants launches Bacon Stuffed Crust for the first time in the UK
Due to popular demand after the US launch, Pizza Hut Restaurants brought the Bacon Stuffed Crust to the UK for customers to enjoy across Huts nationwide.
The special crust is filled with a blend of melted cheese and small slices of bacon, finished with garlic and herb butter.
To order the Bacon Stuffed Crust, all customers will need to do is whisper the following secret words - ‘Bacon Crust Have’ - to their server when ordering and purchasing any large pizza of their choice. Guests can enjoy the new crust at any restaurant in the country.
The unique twist on the original stuffed crust is the latest item to join Pizza Hut Restaurants’ secret menu line-up, which has featured heart-shaped pizzas (for Valentine’s Day) and beer-infused dough pizzas (trialled at the Finchley Lido Hut last month).
Kath Austin, Director of HR and Marketing at Pizza Hut Restaurants, said:“Pizza Hut launched the Bacon Stuffed Crust in the US last month and, since then, demand for this in the UK has skyrocketed. We received a huge influx of enquiries asking us if and when the Bacon Stuffed Crust would be landing over here for customers to enjoy too, so we were keen to launch in the UK as soon as possible.
“It took our team many hours to perfect the recipe for the UK market, but they got it spot on as it tastes absolutely delicious. We’re always looking for new ways to surprise our customers and introducing appetizing new menu items always excites them. We can’t wait to hear what they think of our latest creation.”
The Bacon Stuffed Crust complements other new American-inspired menu items including frickles (fried pickles), sweet potato fries, the Ultimate Thin pizza, hot cookie dough and waffles. Many stores also now feature bars selling craft beers, wines, cocktails, mocktails and hard shakes.
