Plant-based fish and chips, pepperoni pizza amongst items launched for Veganuary

Deliveroo, meanwhile, reported a 117% surge in plant-based ordering across the UK since Veganuary 2021.

QSRs have announced new additions to their menus celebrating Veganuary.

Subway launched a  brand-new plant-based T.L.C. Tikka (Tastes.Like.Chicken.), available as both a 6-inch and Footlong Sub as well as a salad or a wrap. The item is being trialled in 350 stores across the South of England until 15th February.

Domino’s said its Vegan PepperoNAY pizza is made with a vegan pepperoni made by The Vegetarian Butcher and is available at UK stores and online. 

Costa Coffee welcomed the new Vegan Macaroni Cheeze to their menu, made with pasta, a vegan cheeze sauce and fresh spinach, all topped with a parsley crumb.

Wagamama claims to be the first high street chain to launch a plant-based vegan fish and chips dish.

Tortilla announced it launched a new vegan quesadilla and has Applewood Vegan® cheeze for a limited time.

Yard Sale Pizza teamed up with American-style burger joint Halo Burger to create a a vegan cheeseburger pizza featuring Beyond Meat burger patties, gherkins, melted American-style vegan cheese, vegan mozzarella, jalapeños and diced onions

The Gentlemen Baristas has a new range of vegan croissants, toasties and a new vegan sandwich ALT - roasted aubergine, lettuce, tomato and mayo on sourdough.

Earlier this month, Starbucks said it will cease to charge extra for five dairy alternatives in its 1,020 U.K. locations.

Looking at internal data, Deliveroo reported a 117% surge in plant-based ordering across the UK since Veganuary 2021. There are now over 15,000 vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants on the app, it added.
