Pret introduces new Christmas menu, gives away free sandwiches
To celebrate the menu's arrival, 5,000 free sandwiches will be available nationwide.
All 320 UK Pret shops gave away specially-wrapped Christmas Lunch and Veggie Christmas Lunch sandwiches.
50p from the sale of select Christmas menu items this year (including both Christmas sandwiches) will be donated to the Pret Foundation Trust. The donations will be used, in part, to support homeless people back into work via Pret's Apprenticeship Scheme.
The new menu features the return of Pret's Christmas Lunch Sandwich, £3.60, made with layers thick slices of Lincolnshire free-range turkey breast on malted bread with cranberry & port sauce. Served with Pret's crumbly stuffing - made with minced pork, streaky bacon and apricots - and topped with crispy onions and fresh baby spinach.
Pret's Veggie Christmas Lunch Sandwich, £3.25, combines roasted chunks of butternut squash, nutty Christmas pesto and spicy rocket. Served with a spoonful of yoghurt & mayo dressing and a sprinkling of crispy onions on malted bread.
Items joining the iconic sandwiches on the menu this year will include festive macaroni cheese, toasties, sweet treats, and Pret's first ever vegan Christmas baguette.
