Subway unveils new six-foot sub
The Giant Sub can reportedly feed 25 diners.
Subway has unveiled its newest offering – The Giant Sub, a six-foot sub consisting of classic fillings and salad combinations.
The first Giant Sub to be made in training was their signature Italian BMT, which took 2.5 hours to create. The new offering is part of the brand’s campaign to entice customers to have a longer lunch hour.
A survey cited by Subway revealed that the average worker takes just 34 minutes of their lunch hour. Over one in ten (11%) of 2,000 respondents reported that they do not take a lunch break at all.
“We are delighted to be launching the Giant Sub™, a sharing Sub which can be made in any of our 62 million flavour combinations! We were dismayed to learn that so many Brits are cutting short their lunch hour and hope that everyone will take this opportunity to book in that long lunch by getting together with friends to enjoy a Giant Sub,” Sacha Clark, Marketing Director for Subway UK and Ireland said.
The Giant Sub is currently being trialled at 40 City Road, London store and plans to be rolled out nationwide.
