Wagamama to launch spicy version of their katsu curry
The restaurant chain promises to make it a permanent item in their menu if it is well-liked.
wagamama has announced that they will be launching the spicy version of their katsu curry from September 20 to 27.
The recipe is said to be inspired from the way Japanese restaurants serve katsu curries depending on how spicy their customers prefer.
“In Japan, I love how even the Katsu curry sauce is customisable based on preference for heat. The katsu curry has been on the menu since 1992 and there is no way we would change that. You can still get our classic katsu but for those chilli lovers out there this gives them something different with an interesting new flavour profile,” Steve Mangleshot, executive chef at wagamama, said.
The restaurant chain also announced that they will give away 50 katsu curries to students for free on September 27.
