Chinese burger concept Kung Fu Burger opens in Shaftesbury
The new concept is a fourth one for restaurateur, Alex Xu.
Chinese burger concept, Kung Fu Burger, is set to join Chinatown London’s Shaftesbury Avenue in what will be the destination’s fourth partnership with restaurateur, Alex Xu.
Located at 104 Shaftesbury Avenue, the 100 sq ft kiosk will serve of a range of burgers, featuring a sourdough Chinese-style bun and a variety of fillings, from shredded pork belly – the most popular version – to chicken, and vegetables.

This new venture will mark Alex Xu’s fourth F&B outlet in Chinatown London, following the recent success of the hand-pulled noodle restaurant, Kung Fu Noodle. The restaurateur’s existing concepts also include the popular bubble tea brand, Happy Lemon, and the Taiwanese dessert parlour, Meet Fresh, which is adjacent to the new Kung Fu Burger location.
“Chinatown London has proven time and time again to be the perfect location in the capital to launch a concept inspired by the ESEA region, and I have seen the destination evolve over the years into a cultural hub reflective of the Far East. Kung Fu Burger brings the Chinese-inspired burger trend to London, and given the ongoing success of Happy Lemon, Meet Fresh, and Kung Fu Noodle, I have great confidence in this latest operation within the Chinatown London portfolio,” Alex Xu, Founder, Kung Fu Burger, said.
