Wagamama launches lunchtime delivery concept

The initiative arrives as the country sees evolving work patterns.

Wagamama has launched a lunchtime delivery concept aiming to cater to both people working from home or back in the office.

The “BOX by Wagamama” initiative, following a trial, is now expanding throughout London and into Leeds.

The specially crafted, lighter lunch boxes include: miso mixed veg, aromatic chicken, chicken katsu, teriyaki pulled duck and yasai katsu as well as a selection of side boxes and soft drinks. The items are available with free delivery for new customers via Deliveroo in Bow, Balham, Forest Hill, Hackney, Leeds, Old Street, Peckham, Sutton, Walthamstow.

“The insight was clear and we delivered. Guests are searching for a Wagamama-inspired lunch, that’s light, healthy and delivered quickly, whether you’re working from home or in the office. we’re on a mission to disrupt the lunch category,” Wagamama senior brand manager Max Simons-Dukes said.

The boxes will also be available in the following formats:

  • Boost boxes: signature boxes with double the protein or vegetables from that particular box
  • Hot boxes, featuring two signature katsu dishes with hot katsu sauce
  • Hot boost boxes, which sees two boost katsu dishes with hot katsu sauce
