Byron Burger owner to offload business

This latest development could see 21 of its restaurants close.

Embattled Byron Burger parent Famously Proper is planning to offload the business via an administration process that could result in almost half its restaurants closing.

The parent has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrator. A business that files such notice allows it to pursue options such as ‘pre-pack administration’ in which a buyer would acquire Byron’s assets but not its liabilities and debts without any people or business to whom it owes money taking action.

This is the third time that Byron has been sold over the last four years.
