Subway announces exit in Malta

The announcement was made through a social media post.

Sandwich fast food chain Subway is closing all of its restaurants in Malta.

In a Facebook post, the international fast-food brand bid its customers goodbye.

“We want to thank all of you who have always been there to enjoy the taste of Subway. We know the love for Subway never ends and we look forward to seeing you again. We will be waiting for you with freshly made ingredients at our locations around the world,” Subway said in a post.

Recently, the chain has confirmed that its shareholders are exploring a possible sale of the company.
