TGI Fridays to open 87th UK restaurant in Chelmsford
It will bring 70 full time and part time jobs to the area.
TGI Fridays revealed it is opening its 87th UK restaurant in Chelmsford City in Essex.
Located on Springfield Road, the approximately 8,600 square feet site will be a flagship restaurant for the group, seating more than 250 covers inside with an additional 26 covers available outside.
The Chelmsford restaurant will bring 70 full time and part time jobs to the area.
The casual dining chain, part of newly-listed Hostmore plc, earlier announced it will open its 86th restaurant in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
“There’s absolutely no denying the love for Fridays in Essex. Our existing sites in Basildon and Lakeside are always buzzing with fantastic people and we are beyond excited to be opening a flagship store in Chelmsford, the heart of the county, as a result,” Fridays CEO Robert B. Cook said in a statement.
In a separate announcement, the dining chain established a new partnership with illy coffee which will see a range of 12 new Italian coffees at every Fridays UK location, following a trial at selected restaurants.
