Tortilla revenue surges 22% in H1

The group said it is confident it will deliver FY2023 results in line with market expectations

Fast-casual Mexican restaurant group Tortilla reported revenue of £32.7m in a Trading Update for the half year ended 2 July 2023, a 22% growth compared to £26.9m in the same period last year.

Like-for-like revenues increased by 8.4%. According to Tortilla, franchise sites performed very well with record sales being achieved in all SSP locations. The group expects further franchise sites in the pipeline to expand on the success.

“We are pleased to have delivered good revenue growth and further strategic progress in the first half. Our strong LFL sales growth has been ahead of industry comparatives reflecting the appeal of our high quality, healthy and customisable great value propositions,” Richard Morris, CEO of Tortilla, said.

The Board said it remains confident in the Group’s ability to deliver FY2023 results in line with market expectations.

In total, there were 85 sites at the end of the period operating under the Tortilla and Chilango
