American fast food giant Wendy’s is planning to open a new venue in Sheffield city centre.

The city council has received plans from Papas Hospitality Group saying that the restaurant would occupy part of the basement, the ground floor, and the first floor mezzanine of the building that used to occupy a phone shop.
The plan states that they “will ensure the future upkeep of this unit in a way that adds vitality and viability.”

In November 2021, Wendy’s announce its relaunch in the UK after a 20-year absence. It plans to open at least 50 branches.
