Chop'd to give away free food on Fridays
The London salad chain are giving its customers extra salad ingredients for free every Friday.
'Freedom Friday' is a new concept where Chop'd visitors can get as many extra items in their Create Your Own salad for no extra cost, every single Friday.
"From Monday to Thursday, Chop'd customers can choose to build their Create Your Own salad featuring 1 base item (including deli leaves, pasta or cous cous), 3 veg items (like carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, olives and free-range egg) and 3 deli items (such as avocado, bacon, chicken and parmesan) for £5.95. In selected stores, customers can get as much as they want of anything, as long as it fits in the bowl," the company said.
Managing Director of Chop'd, Eddie Holmes, said, "We all feel like a bit of a treat on Fridays, as a reward for getting through the week. We think Freedom Friday is a great way of giving a treat to our customers. It's about tearing up the rule book and having just what you fancy. You might want chicken AND parmesan but don't want to pay the extra £1.25. But on Freedom Fridays you can have both for no extra charge!"
"People could fill their salad bowl with just chicken if they wanted, or olives, or avocados. Our Chop'd staff will be on hand to make recommendations, though, because we believe part of the joy of Chop'd Create Your Own salads is the huge range of different ingredients we offer and how well they go together."
