PizzaExpress offers a 50% discount for dine-in in January

This is the brand’s way to stave away the January blues.

To stave away post-celebration blues, PizzaExpress will be offering a 50% discount to PizzaExpress Club members who will dine in starting 8 January to 25 January.

This comes as a survey commissioned by the pizza brand revealed that 45% of Brits put all celebrations on hold in the New Year.

The research, which polled 2,000 UK adults found that, of those born in January, two-thirds (66%) agreed that the first month of the year is the worst time to have a birthday, with over half (57%) opting to spend their birthdays indoors and nearly a third (30%) stating that the day is often forgotten by friends and family altogether.

“Having no money” was cited as the top reason for skipping celebrations, with a third (38%) of those polled saying so. 82% of those polled agreed that seeing friends and family would help alleviate the ‘January blues’, hence PizzaExpress discount for members to encourage them to celebrate with their friends and families.

Non-loyalty members, meanwhile, can avail a 25% discount.

PizzaExpress has over 360 pizzerias in the UK.
