More than half of UK consumers order less from restaurants
This as they save money amidst cost pressures.
Over 51% of 600 UK consumers revealed that they are reducing the frequency of ordering from restaurants to save money, an increase from 12 percentage points in the first quarter of 2022.
Data from Revenue Management Solutions also showed that 70% compare prices prior to placing their order whilst 72% said they already know the price prior to ordering.
All polled cited their intention to reduce their frequency of visits to restaurants across all sectors.
“When comparing Q1 2022 figures against Q3 2022. Dine-In 25% rising to 40%. Drive-thru 36% rising to 49%. Take-out 34% rising to 47%. Delivery 35% rising to 47%,” read the statement.
