Burger King reveals its quirkiest consumer trends in 2024
Chilli Cheese Bites are top picks amongst Londoners.
Burger King UK released its first roundup trends and insights report titled BK Unwrapped 2024 revealing its consumers ordering habits for 2024.
Unwrapped data revealed during the hottest day of the year on 12 August, orders for Chilli Cheese Bites tripled. Londoners also ordered more Chilli Cheese Bites than anywhere else in the UK
Orders of Bacon Double Cheese XL went up twice the number during the football season especially on 14 July.
Meanwhile, Burger King UK’s ‘Whopper® Wednesdays’ offer saw its busiest day on Valentines Day, with couples treating each other with the gift of a flame-grilled feast on date night. It also saw a 25% fewer requests to remove onions from Whopper orders.
Compared to other regions, Scottish towns led the UK in ‘Chicken Royale with Cheese’ orders, with Glasgow taking the top spot, closely followed by Cumbernauld, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Kilmarnock
Glasgow also stood out as the UK's top fanbase for Onion Rings, whilst Guildford in the South earned the title of BK Chocolate Milkshake capital
Chertsey, claimed the crown for the highest orders of Frozen Fanta drinks. Stockton-on-Tees devoured more 3-piece Nugget sides than any other place in the UK, and Bolton took the lead as the biggest aficionado of the Smoky Bacon Double Whopper.
Customers in Manchester ordered enough Whopper burgers to fill the seats of both the red and blue stadiums three times, whilst those in Oxford ordered the highest number of Double Angus Bacon with Cheese in 2024
Customers in Edinburgh consumed enough Fries that if laid end to end, would cover the length of the Royal Mile nine times.
