UK top restaurants, bar, and pub’s' like-for-like sales rose 5% in June
This growth is below inflation.
Top managed restaurant, pub and bar group’s in the UK reported a 5% increase in its like-for-like sales in June, the latest Coffer CGA Business Tracker showed.
This represented the strongest month of growth since 2022 began but it is also below inflation as measured by the consumer price index, which reached 9%.
On the tracker, restaurants outperformed other segments with a growth of 8%, followed by pubs with 3%, and bars rose by 5%.
On the other hand, trading in London posted a flat performance in May, “like-for-like sales within the M25 were down by 1% in June, compared to 7% growth beyond the M25.”
