Deliveroo to roll out ‘click and collect' feature within the year

The delivery company just celebrated its sixth anniversary in operations.

Deliveroo is set to roll out a ‘click and collect’ feature, which will give customers the option to order food for collection on its platform, by the end of the year.

In an announcement, the British food delivery company said they want consumers to have options "for every occasion" through the new feature. Deliveroo also announced that they are launching in an additional 8 UK towns in the next month and plans on adding more than 40 by the end of the year.

Marking its sixth year in operations, Deliveroo is now working with 20,000 takeaways and restaurants in the UK.

“Six years ago I never thought we’d get the chance to work with the likes of Greggs or Pizza Express. Now we’re in 14 countries across the globe, boast one of Britain’s biggest tech teams and are supporting some of the UK’s best takeaways and restaurants," Deliveroo CEO Will Shu said.
