Deliveroo secures partnerships with Costa Coffee, Yumpingo
The partnerships signal big news for the delivery platform.
Costa Coffee announced that it will roll out a trial delivery service for its signature hand-crafted coffee and selected food items as part of a new partnership with food delivery platform Deliveroo.
Six central London stores - Moorgate Pronto, Shepherd’s Bush, Rathbone Place, Bethnal Green Road, Essex Road, Tooley Street - will be part of the trial, seeking to offer customers easy and efficient access to the brand. Customers can order through the Deliveroo website or app.
This follows the successful roll out of Costa Collect in London stores last year, a service which allows Costa Coffee Club customers to place an order on the Costa Coffee app and collect their coffee in-store.
In addition, Costa Coffee announced that the service will use a new coffee carrier pack designed to ensure optimum product quality on delivery. A Deliveroo delivery fee of £2.50 will be applied to each order.
The partnership comes as restaurant intelligence platform Yumpingo announced the launch of Yumpingo Go, a platform designed to capture consumer feedback in-moment and add machine learning to produce insights.
Yumpingo’s live, one-minute review platform reportedly delivers over 7,500 at-table food, beverage and service reviews per location per month to Yumpingo’s current clients, while also collecting thousands of customer emails.
“We see Yumpingo and the insight it provides for restaurants as an absolute game changer for those who want to understand what their customers really think,” Dan Warne, Deliveroo UK & IE Managing Director, said.
