Deliveroo's rolls out ‘Food Procurement' service nationwide
The service allows restaurants to purchase cooking ingredients and supplies at reduced prices via deals negotiated by the delivery company.
After a year-long trial, Deliveroo is making its ‘Food Procurement’ service available to all restaurants in the UK this summer.
The new scheme, which allows restaurants to purchase cooking ingredients and supplies at reduced prices via bespoke deals negotiated by Deliveroo, is said to help restaurants save over 20% on their ingredients bills, with smaller independent restaurants saving up to 40%.
A dedicated team has been established at Deliveroo’s headquarters in London for the nationwide roll out of the scheme.
The delivery company says that several hundred restaurant partners are already using the scheme, with them expecting the number to be at 5,000 by the end of the year. The programme will also be live by the end of the year in Spain, France, UK and UAE.
