Uber Eats to offer integrated delivery system
More than a third of Brits say they would order more food for delivery upon improvements in the speed of service and quality of food.
Uber Eats partnered with technology provider Zonal in streamlining partner restaurants’ operations with an integrated delivery system.
The newly-integrated food delivery service allows restaurants to focus more on providing customer service with the use of an exclusive Uber Eats ID directly connected with Zonal’s EPoS system so orders are no longer needed to be manually recorded.
This new service would also remove secondary input menu, stock and pricing information.
Citing internal data, Zonal says that 39% of British consumers would order more food for delivery upon improvements in the speed of service and quality of food delivered.
“We recognise that home delivery is here to stay, and demand will continue to grow. We are delighted to demonstrate our openness to technology integration with leading platforms like Uber Eats, which helps our customers meet changing consumer habits while upholding service and brand expectations,” Zonal strategic product manager Glenn Tait said.
Uber Eats previously partnered with food ordering platform Olo in integrating orders directly into Olo Rail’s POS.
