200 Degrees opens new outlet in Liverpool's Metquarter centre

It will also to open second coffee shop in central Birmingham next month.

200 Degrees is set to have a total of ten stores in the UK, following the opening of a new 72-seater coffee shop in Liverpool’s Metquarter centre and a second coffee shop in central Birmingham on 19 August.

The 2,000 sq. ft coffee shop in Liverpool includes a sunken seating area, bespoke artwork and outdoor cafe seating.

“The city has an incredible food and drink scene which we can’t wait to be a part of and in our prime position on the ground floor of the centre, we relish the chance to serve people shopping, working in neighbouring businesses or anyone seeking out a relaxing space," 200 Degrees co-founder and director Tom Vincent said.

Meanwhile, the new Lower Temple Street coffee shop has 65 seats, and is located in the Victorian setting of the former Midland Hotel, with the new 1,830 sq. ft store having retained many of its original period features.

“We’ve reclaimed some of the heritage elements of the building and we’ll be blending these with our own interior styles - we’re also installing a split service area that will allow us to serve busy commuters and time-starved workers quickly and to our usual standards,” Vincent explained.

Both sites are expected to bring 20 new jobs each.
