Caffe Nero to reopen 400 outlets for dine-in on 4 July
This is almost half of the chain’s whole store network.
Four hundred of Caffe Nero’s outlets across the country will reopen for dine-in on 4 July, the day when coronavirus-related restrictions will further ease.
“We’ve seen high demand since we’ve started opening for takeaway and our teams are excited to welcome customers back properly. We have prioritised protecting the health and wellbeing of our people and our customers in setting these stores, while also providing safe, friendly community spaces as the country starts to reopen,” chief executive Gerry Ford said in a media release.
The majority of these stores will also be offering delivery via Uber Eats.
Caffè Nero has more than 800 stores across the UK, and currently employs over 6,000 people.
Other chains reopening for dine-in include PizzaExpress, which will reopen 44 of its restaurants for dine-in customers from 9 July. Homeslice has also opened bookings for dine-in customers for four of its restaurants starting 4 July.
Meanwhile, British real estate investment trust Shaftesbury PLC announced that 34 of Chinatown London’s food and beverage operators have opened to provide takeaway options for shoppers returning to the West End.
