Haidilao opens second UK site at The O2
A third location is slated to open by early 2021.
Chinese hot pot restaurant brand Haidilao has launched its second UK site at The O2 in London.
The new restaurant is situated on the lower level of establishment and spans across an 8,200 sq ft space with a 2,800 sq ft mezzanine. It hosts 212 covers and joins the lineup of international cuisine within The O2’s food and beverage hub that includes By CHLOE and Australian restaurant and bar concept Butcher and the Farmer.
Founded in Sichuan Province in 1994, Hai Di Lao now has more than 700 directly operated restaurants in over 115 cities.
“Positioned just 20 minutes from Central London and with such a breadth of dining, retail and leisure under one roof, The O2 provides the perfect setting for our second restaurant in Europe,” a spokesperson for the chain said.
Haidilao has also selected Birmingham for its first site in the UK outside of London. The 8,073sq ft restaurant will join Brown’s and Wagamama in St Martin’s Square, and is set to launch in early 2021.
