Itsu opens first dine-in restaurant
The chain is looking to respond to “pent up” demand for eating in-store.
Itsu has opened its first full dine-in restaurant in the country, located in Reading Gate Retail Park.
The full dine-in menu will be served in traditional ceramic dishes in an attempt to create an authentic and sophisticated evening atmosphere.
To celebrate the launch, the first 50 people in the queue received £10 worth of Itsu money to spend inside.
“With restrictions easing, there is pent up demand for eating out and we want to offer healthy food options that aren’t expensive. With meals available from £7, the new contemporary dining experience is perfect for family dining, friendship catchups and romantic dates,” Itsu founder Julian Metcalfe said.
The concept’s menu includes warm spicy edamame, steamed and served with spicy chilli oil and rock sea salt, thai noodles, sushi and sashimi, along with child-friendly rice bowls.Itsu has added nine fro-yo flavours as dessert options.
