McDonald's fries now 100% British
The brand announced that it will start sourcing potatoes exclusively from British farmers.
The switch to homegrown potatoes will start later this month and will add £9 million for British farmers on top of the £70 million McDonald’s spends with them each year.
It comes as part of a wider £350 million investment programme in the UK, as McDonald's overhauls its stores in the country and shakes up its menu offerings. The brand announced that it is also introducing new wrap options next month.
