Shake Shack, Chapati Man launch delivery-only sites

More chains are looking to get a bigger bite at the eat-at-home market.

Amidst growing demand in delivery due to COVID-related restrictions, Shake Shack and Chapati Man are the latest chains to launch delivery-only or dark kitchen sites.

Shake Shack’s said its delivery-only store in Cambridge is opening on 9 February, with customers able to order via Deliveroo.

To celebrate the opening, Deliveroo is offering free delivery from 9 February until 14 February.

The Cambridge Shack will operate from 12:00PM to 10:45PM, seven days a week.

Chapati Man’s dark kitchen, also referred to as a ghost kitchen, will launch in Camden, North London in mid-February. The chain says this is the first of many new sites launching in London and the UK and is part of a partnership with Jacuna Kitchens.
