Upstart café chain Saint Espresso to open second Islington location
This is the chain’s sixth overall site.
Upstart café chain Saint Espresso is opening its second Islington location at Angel Central.
The local and independent operator selected a kiosk situated within the central plaza for its newest location, around the corner from the brand’s first-ever café on Pentonville Road.
The kiosk is also part of Angel Central’s recently completed £16 million refurbishment.
With five sites across the capital, Saint Espresso’s coffee is sourced “ethically and transparently” from small producers across the world. Its team also has an ongoing commitment to support their neighbourhoods, and donated close to 1, 000 bags to NHS hospitals while also donating coffee to key workers and the homeless during the initial stages of the pandemic.
“Our organic growth is a direct result of our approach in creating design-led cafés, where our customers can find their ‘place’ and take a moment to retreat from their daily routines. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build within all of our local neighbourhoods and it is a pleasure to have this opportunity to be in the heart of Angel, Islington,” said Leon Zadeh, founder of Saint Espresso.
