CHIK'N closes temporarily after facing overwhelming demand

The newly-opened fried chicken brand will be closed for two days to debrief.

CHIK’N wrote on its Facebook page that the debriefing will happen on July 18th and 19th to improve the capacity of its kitchen to serve the customers better.

“The short of it is even though we made an impressively low amount of mistakes, our systems and team were pushed to the limit and we were devastated we could not exceed everyone's expectations every time,” the post reads.

CHIK’N sold over a tonne of chicken to around 10,000 customers with approximately 1,500 people a day. The brand new restaurant was overwhelmed with the increasing amount of customers that it took a “superCHIK'N effort” to keep up at that level of volume.

After two days of inactivity, the store will open again on July 20th.
