Uber buys Prosus stake in Delivery Hero for $318.06m

The tech-based platform is buying 4.5% shares from Prosus.

Uber has bought 4.5% stake in Delivery Hero from Prosus for a consideration of $318.06m (€270m).

Prosus will offload a total of 13.5m ordinary shares to Uber.

The move is part of Prosus’ commitments to the European Commission to reduce its stakes in Delivery Hero following its acquisition of Just Eat Takeaway.com.

Prosus was bought by Prosus last year for an all-cash deal worth $4.2b (€4.1b)

The deal represents €20.3 euros per share, with the board unanimously supporting the proposal.
