UK's first vegan pizzeria launches in London
Purezza is opening a site in Camden, London in February 2018.
The plant-based store offers three types of pizza base – including sourdough, hemp flour and gluten-free – as well as using different types of cruelty-free cheese, including their house rice-blend mozzarella as well as coconut, almond, and cashew-based options on their four cheese pizza.
The Italian restaurant will seat 100 diners over two floors, and will be located just two minutes walk from Camden Town tube station. As well as pizza, they will offer pasta, burgers, raw dishes, and lots of gluten-free food. Its pizza flavours include the ‘parmigiana party’ (smoked mozzarella, fried aubergines, sliced sausages, topped with basil and nutritional yeast), ‘one night in Bangkok’ (white base with stir fried vegetables, sprouted beans, sriracha sauce, topped with peanut sauce) and the ‘fumosa’ (smokey tomato base, chestnut mushrooms, smoked beet and fried tofu, topped with BBQ sauce). They also serve vegan versions of desserts like tiramisu, crème brûlée and gelato.
Purezza is Europe’s first vegan pizzeria opened in Brighton in the early part of 2016.
