Chaiiwala opens in Birmingham Airport
The Chaiiwala concession was worth £500k.
Indian street food cafe Chaiiwalla opened its second airport outlet located in Birmingham Airport.
Customers will be able to enjoy some of its signature products from drinks such as Karak Chaii, Karak Coffee to food such as English-Ish Breakfast, Masala Chips and Samosas whether they order at the till, or in advance via their phone to enjoy on the plane.
"Chaiiwala is a different food concept to what is currently on offer at airports and travel hubs in the UK and we are really looking forward to welcoming passengers to the store. Our goal is to enhance the experience of our customers who are travelling by providing exceptional dining options and the addition of Chaiiwala to Birmingham Airport is a key part of that vision,” Muhummed Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer at Chaiiwala, said
The Chaiiwala concession has been developed as a bespoke standalone kiosk at an investment of £500k and will be the company's 115th store across the world. The 1,100 sq ft store will be located in the departures area at Birmingham airport and will create 20 jobs
Customers will be able to use the low-level seating and serving areas across the departures lounge at Birmingham Airport while having clear visibility across the departures area to flight information boards and boarding gates.
The new airport store will be operated by long-term partner EG On The Move who currently run a number of Chaiiwala stores in the UK including two Drive Thrus in Bolton and Blackburn.
