Rosa's Thai Cafe confirms Liverpool opening in 2018
It will open its first site outside of the capital at the new Albert Dock development in Liverpool this summer.
Housed within a grade II listed former warehouse, the new Rosa’s Liverpool restaurant will be split over two floors and host up to 88 seated customers. The interior, curated by design agency Gundry & Ducker, retains the original open brickwork of the building, with huge arches looking out onto the docks and an open theatre kitchen. Paying homage to Albert Dock and Liverpool surroundings, Rosa’s Thai Cafe will take influences from its waterfront surroundings.
Launched by Saiphin and Alex back in 2008, Rosa’s Thai Cafe has become renowned for its punchy Thai food, using ingredients sourced as locally as possible: Its dishes include ‘Chicken satay’ and ‘Thai calamari’, and larger mains such as ‘Salmon red curry’ and ‘Char-grilled aubergine salad’, and Rosa’s ‘Pad Thai’.
Saiphin said, “We are so excited to finally be able to confirm our not so secret news: Rosa’s is coming to Liverpool! It’s a great fit for us, a city full of genuine people who like to have fun and love good food. That’s what we’re all about, and its why we’ve chosen Liverpool for our first location outside of London. To have found such a great site at the Albert Dock is the icing on the cake and we look forward to welcoming Thai food fans to our new home there in the summer.”qs
