Shoryu Ramen announces UK, int'l expansion
The ramen chain currently has 12 restaurants in four UK locations and one in Japan.
Shoryu Ramen has announced its partnership with franchising services firm Seeds Consulting to expand in the UK and select international markets.
The Japanese restaurant chain is backed by Japan Centre Group, Toridoll Holdings
Corporation and Rosinter Restaurants
“We see franchising as the ultimate way to expand Shoryu and deliver our authentic Hakata cuisine around the globe,” Shoryu Ramen founder Tak Tokumine said in a statement.
“Shoryu is the most authentic ramen concept we have in the UK and it is loved by consumers and landlords alike: since its inception in 2012, its performance has consistently outpaced the rest of the industry. Its operation is half the size of an average casual dining restaurant and with reduced labour costs as a result, presents a very exciting prospect to franchisees,” Seeds Consulting director Matteo Frigeri added.
According to the consultancy firm, the restaurant chain is “actively seeking partnerships with qualified mono- or multi-brand franchise groups, travel retail operators and food retailers.”
