Subway celebrates 100th store opening with Euro Garages
Subway and Euro Garages jointly announced the opening of the 100th integrated SUBWAY store at Holtspur Service Station in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
The store, which opened Friday 6 November marks the successful completion of Euro Garages’ strategic growth plans to invest in and open 100 Subway stores by 2016, creating around 700 new jobs.
Having successfully achieved its end of year target and as part of its future expansion plans, Euro Garages has now set a new target of having 175 Subway stores open at its sites by the end of 2016.
Greg Madigan, Area Development Manager for the Subway brand in the UK and Ireland, said: “The Subway brand partnership with Euro Garages is going from strength to strength and the opening of the 100th store is a testament to that. The forecourt and convenience sector is a key area of growth for the Subway brand. The simple operations that are involved in running a Subway franchise and the convenience offer make it a perfect fit for these style locations."
“Euro Garages provides ideal forecourt locations for integrated Subway stores and the partnership allows for a collaborative approach that delivers a flexible business model, real partner benefits, including increased footfall, on-going marketing support, sustainable sales and excellent business growth opportunities.”
Ahmed Kazi, for Euro Garages, said, "It is with great pleasure to announce the opening of our 100th Subway store at Holtspur Service Station, and achieve our 100 stores target earlier than forecast. The Subway brand is known for its strength in introducing the brand through effective convenience channels, and this partnership offers strong support for our own business. Reaching this milestone is testament to our investment, people, capital and systems. We look forward to growing our estate even further in 2016, as we work towards our target of 175 Subway stores across our sites by the end of next year."
