The Restaurant Group (TRG) has filed a notice to appoint administrators for its Chiquito restaurant brand, putting around 1,500 jobs at risk.
TRG also placed its Food and Fuel gastropub group into administration, estimating that both brands will have negative EBITDA by the end of the financial year.
Around 20 of Chiquito’s 79 restaurants are expected to remain open.
TRG also owns the Wagamama, Frankie & Benny’s and Coast to Coast restaurant brands.
