Honest Burgers targets £1m in equity crowdfunding

Its crowdfunding vehicle recently went live.

Honest Burgers has announced that its equity crowdfunding vehicle is now live, targeting £1m.

As of now, the crowdfunding has oversubscribed with £1.7.m raised from 1,403 investors. The round is led by Active Partners.

Honest Burgers is using Crowdcube, an equity crowdfunding platform, as its crowdfunding vehicle.

In early September, Honest Burgers announced that it is starting a crowdfunding campaign to expand its 40 restaurants and open a new brand exclusively dedicated to its Smashed burgers in a quick service format with convenience and value in mind.

The burger joint is offering the public a chance to invest in the fast-food business starting at £10. The founders are using the investment platform Crowdcube to attract funding. The brand is offering a tiered VIP shareholder benefits alongside the shares they receive for their investment. The benefits are based on the amount each shareholder invests.
