Patisserie Valerie's parent company to replace auditor
This comes whilst Grant Thornton UK’s audit of Patisserie’s financial statements for 2015-2017 is being investigated by Britain’s accounting watchdog.
Patisserie Valerie parent company Patisserie Holdings has announced that they intend to appoint RSM UK Audit as their new auditors to replace Grant Thornton UK.
The news came after the independent regulator in UK and Ireland Financial Reporting Council said that they are investigating the financial statements of the company audited by Grant Thornton during the financial years 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Patisserie Holdings earlier this year discovered an almost £10 million accounting hole. To save the struggling chain, chairman Luke Johnson gave £20 million in loans.
