Abokado, the healthy fast-food chain, has come up with an innovative way to reward customers and drive business on rainy winter days.
Their outlets are now stocked with umbrellas for customers to borrow or take with them when the weather becomes inclement. Initially devised as a way to reward customers and help drive sales on wet weather days, the giveaway has proved so popular that the original run of 500 umbrellas is now almost out of stock.
Aside from the 'feelgood factor', the move is also an effective way to market the brand, with customers spreading brand awareness whenever they travel in the rain.
