Over 44 Wasabi stores log into Too Good To Go app
Wasabi and Too Good To Go inked a partnership to battle food waste.
In a bid to reduce food waste, Japanese restaurant, Wasabi, revealed its joint partnership with food app, Too Good To Go, which now accommodates over 44 Wasabi stores.
The partnership allows all Wasabi stores across the UK to offer surplus fresh sushi, bento, salads and snacks through the Too Good To Go app.
The app allows people to buy “surplus food and drink from bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, cafes and producers to stop it from going to waste.”
Henry Birts, CEO at Wasabi Sushi & Bento said, “It’s been our ambition over the last few years to ensure that Wasabi is fully focused when it comes to sustainability. Partnering with Too Good To Go helps us to play our part in tackling food waste and to take another step forward in terms of sustainability, helping people and the planet.”
Sophie Trueman, Managing Director UK & Ireland at Too Good To Good said, "I'm thrilled to be launching our partnership with Wasabi to help save their delicious food from going to waste. We’ve already had amazing feedback from our users who have loved having Wasabi's amazing products - from sushi to hot bento - on the app."
