McDonald's UK releases statement on fresh beef patties rollout

McDonald's recently moved to rolling out fresh beef for its burgers in the US. QSR contacted McDonald's in the UK to find out if the move would make it across the Atlantic.

A spokesperson told us, "McDonald’s USA has announced a move to fresh beef for its quarter pound patties only. A benefit of being part of a Global business is around innovation, and we will watch what happens in the US and see if it is something we should consider in the UK. Our patties are made from 100% British and Irish beef with nothing added aside from a little salt and pepper after cooking. Our patties are cooked from frozen in our restaurants and it is a process perfected over decades, which ensures customers receive our iconic beef items, just the way they love them.”
