EXCLUSIVE: Giraffe World Kitchen unveils newly-developed Children's Menu

The new Kids’ Menu at Giraffe has been crowned a winner at the Menu Innovation and Development Awards 2018.

The team at Giraffe introduced the menu nationwide earlier this year, with options including Wraps, Salads, Grilled Chicken, Fish and traditional favourites. The new range offers one of the most expansive ranges for youngsters in the UK marketplace.

Giraffe group marketing director Alex Meyer said, “With so much choice in the market, it’s quite a coup, not to mention an honour to have our children’s menu recognised in this way. Now more than ever, parents are looking for a wider selection of choices for their children, so that influenced our decision making when we were developing the new menu. This prestigious award is the icing on the cake so to celebrate, this Sunday, kids can tuck into our award-winning menu and treat their mum to a free meal at the same time!”

QSR Media: Why did Giraffe see value in developing a new kids menu?

Giraffe is a leading brand in the family market because one of our key strengths is that we listen to our guests' views on how we can continue to deliver a brilliant family experience every time.

QSR Media: What changed on the menu to make it innovative?

We've devised our new kids' menu which, where possible, reflects smaller portions of our adult main meals including malay curry and katsu chicken. We've also ensured it contains a variety of healthier items with sunshine salad, grilled chicken breast with steamed vegetables all on the menu.

QSR Media: What has customer feedback been?

Excellent! Parents and youngsters are enjoying the extensive range of options. Families are also loving that - unlike others in the sector - we run "kids eat free" offer at weekends and during the school holidays to make it even more affordable for families to dine out at times when they most want to!

QSR Media: What are the most popular menu items proving to be?

Currently, the most popular items are Grilled chicken wrap, Pasta al Pomodoro, and our Burger with Potato Wedges.
