Beefeater launches first BBQ sauce for retail
260ml bottles are priced at £2.99.
For the very first time in its 47-year history, Beefeater’s 74 BBQ sauce will now be available to purchase nationwide from its 173 restaurants.
The ’74 BBQ sauce, which marks the restaurant’s first step into the ‘at home’ market, features British Bramley apple contrasted with spicy undertones from a blend of cumin, garlic, and chilli, along with dark porter with dark chocolate notes.
“We wanted to create a BBQ sauce that really captured the essence of our brand. Beefeater is all about the grill, so our mission was to create a BBQ sauce that tastes as good straight off the grill as it does on its own,” said Chris Seaby, head of food and beverage development at Whitbread, which owns Beefeater.
Priced at £2.99 for a 260ml bottle, Beefeater ’74 BBQ sauce is also incorporated across dishes on their new menu for autumn and winter.
