Chopstix brings Ireland’s Spice Bag to UK high streets
The launch comes as Irish food and culture gain momentum in the UK.
Chopstix has launched its own version of the Irish fast-food dish, the Spice Bag, across its stores this week.
The dish combines crispy chicken pieces, potato wedges, peppers, onions, and chilli, coated in a salt and pepper seasoning mix and served with katsu curry sauce.
Chopstix says it is the first Spice Bag offering from a national quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand in the UK.
The launch comes as Irish food and culture continue to gain attention in the UK, with rising demand for Irish products and growing interest in dishes associated with Irish takeaways, including chicken fillet rolls, curry chips, and Spice Bags.
The chain has also added two new menu options: Hot Honey Hustler Chicken and No Chick’n Sweet & Sour.
Chopstix operates more than 140 stores and has expanded in the past year, including entering France with its first European site following investment from QSR operator QSRP.
